I just received this book. Although a bit pricey at $50, I think it is worth every penny. View the sample preview. It is over 730 pages and the pages are full 9.5 x 11 size. It presents cultural aspects of Arabic culture through the use of cartoons, a corresponding translation and discussion.

Could tell a bit more about its contents? Is it a bilingual manual to Arabic culture or a
textbook?

The book contains around 450-500 cartoons from Arabic speaking countries (political cartoons, satire, etc). In most cases, a translation into English or at least an explanation is provided followed by a (sometimes quite lenghty) discussion of the cultural aspects of the cartoon (why are they saying this or that, why are they behaving this way and why this is different than the West, etc.). Again, the book is over 700 pages and huge (9 1/2 x 11 inches) so well worth the $50 in my opinion if you are an advanced learner of Arabic. The sample is pretty much representative of the entire book.
