Is FSI or some other program I am unaware of particularly good for listening on the ipod while walking around, kind of making the most of "dead time," or are there better programs that you would reccomend? Thanks for your time.

If you are a beginner I would recommend Synergy Spanish. It is excellent for listening in short spells and for utilizing what you already know. It has a printed text but you can listen to the audio lessons and drills without the text. I find it preferable to Pimsleur.

I´d go with Pimsleur but that´s just my personal preference..
