I have heard that in order to get access to the JLU material you need a valid .gov e-mail
address. I am just wondering what the limits of this are? Both my parents have a .gov
e-mail because of their jobs...does this mean that if they wanted to they could both have
access to JLU material, no questions asked? Or is there a more thorough processing of
it?

Thanks

I have a .gov e-mail address and was able to join without any delays even though I'm a civilian.

I am a civilian and nobody I know has a .gov email address and I got access just because I am on a State Dept. scholarship right now. They don't seem to keep it locked up very tight.

You just have to have a .gov address.

But about the only thing worthwhile on there (for a civilian) is the DLI courses, which fat-tony has already shared.
