I am a self-learner who has nearly finished the Destinos beginner’s Spanish program. Does anyone have any recommendations for an intermediate textbook program? The reason I chose Destinos was for the multi-faceted teaching approach: using audio, video, and text. In an intermediate program I am looking for the same features. By the end of Destinos I should(?) know every tense, but my vocabulary will be lacking, and I will only be able to understand simple constructions.

Hey there!
I would try a bilingual easy reader or Spanish Made Simple. Spanish Made Simple doesn't have audio but in my opinion it is a very very good course. get the OLDER edition, the new one is too "frilly" the old edition is very effective, and probably costs around $5 -Jordan Edited by datsunking1 on 24 December 2009 at 4:56pm 1 person has voted this message useful | |

I'll definitely give it a look see. I just looked over the Interm. courses at Barnes and Noble and I couldn't find anything promising. Everything looked a little below the level I'm at. I think I'll follow your advice and find a reader.
