Today was a good day; I feel like I accomplished a lot. I was able to identify and remedy most of the previous problems that I was having. It's good to be back on track!

This weekend was quite beneficial to my progress in Spanish though I didn't do any Pimsleur units. On Friday I was able to speak with two native Spanish speakers simultaneously, one of which spoke very little English - worse than my Spanish. I was able to speak as well as listen to them converse for about twenty minutes. Even though my Spanish is lacking in many areas, I was able to speak and understand a lot.
I went to a BBQ on Saturday where I met with many of my Hispanic friends who are all bilingual Spanish/English. They all let me pick their brains for the evening and complemented my progress. It was very reassuring to say the least.
I finished "course A" today and am happy to say that I'm understanding the language grammatically more and more. I still have a long journey ahead.

Well, it has certainly been a while. A couple of days after my last post there was a death in my family and studying Spanish was the last thing on my mind; not to say I didn't try. I'm not giving up, but I need to find that inspiration that has seemingly left me during the time off. Perhaps a bit of review will get things going again. I hope so.
