I've considered studying Estonian before (because I I want to learn a Finno-Ugric language), but I've more or less decided on Hungarian instead.

Just out of curiosity, what part of Canada are you from?

Please keep us updated on your Estonian studies! It's a fascinating language (especially for me, since I'm a native speaker of Finnish), but a rather difficult one to master. I can understand it to a certain extent, so if you need any help in translating some words/sentences, feel free to contact me. :)
The pronunciation is difficult for an English speaker, but I believe that if you keep on listening to the CDs and maybe some Estonian music (Metsatòll, Terminaator...), you'll get a hang of it very soon.
