I would recommend getting Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish. I'm working through it right now and it's a VERY good
resource. It was originally written in the 50s so there has been somewhat of a spelling reform, but nothing major.
The grammar is still the same was it was then. It has some of the best ratings on Amazon for any book I've ever
seen, and for good reason. There used to be some posts about the book and many Spanish learners here have
sworn by the book.
