Actually 'brushing up' might be an understatement!! I have a degree in German which I did about 17 years ago and since then haven't used it (I know I know....). When I did the degree my spoken German was probably my weakest area.
However I now want to revisit this and get up to speed. Rather than taking a course I wondered if it was possible to teach myself again. The basics are there, I just want to know the best way to do it or if anyone can recommend some good books/audio? My aim is to eventually get up to speed and take a PGCE course so that I can teach. I grew up speaking both and just know it like English because of that but at 26 when I went back to college because
my 1st choice sucked career wise and didn't speak it unless I was on the phone with family or at holidays. I forgot a lot and taking a German I course helped, in 3 weeks I was correcting the professor... 1 person has voted this message useful |
