Hello, everyone. It's my sad duty to inform you that Don Casteel, the man responsible for the much-praised Platiquemos Spanish course, has passed away. I found out just today from family members of his. I had a problem with an order that I placed through his website last month, and after many unsuccessful attempts to contact him, I managed to find a phone number to call. That's when I was told that Don had passed away last month. I never had the pleasure of meeting the man, but I understand that he was a good and honest man who was always willing to help others in their language-learning difficulties. May he rest in peace.

He seemed like a real gentleman. Sad to see him go.

Don did help me whenever I had questions, so I feel a man of ethics
is gone. As another forum member once referred to Platiquemos is a labor of love. What better way than his work in continuing to benefit people in the pursuit of learning Spanish.I think the Platiquemos program is a tribute to him for all the people that use it.

A person can see it, as his legacy.

I've been trying to put an order in for quite a while too with no success. So very sorry to hear about Don.

The woman I spoke with said that they weren't sure what was going to happen with regard to the business. I ordered the full download that had all that good stuff, and I'm not even sure if I'm going to get my money back or get the download. Unfortunately, the website is still up and taking orders, but there's nobody there to fulfill them :-( I would recommend against buying from the website for now.
