I am looking for some suggestions for a good textbook, that would be ideal for going through with a tutor. Since I am looking for a good course book to work through, I doesnt need to come with audio. The main languages that I am looking for are Polish and Russian, but other suggestions are welcome. Thankyou

Hi, and welcome!
I would imagine that any good course that is designed for self-study would be a good book to use with a tutor as well, such as:
Ultimate Russian (a personal favourite)
and Teach Yourself Russian (and Polish).
There are also some excellent resources available from these sites: www.ruslan.co.uk and some good, solid textbooks and resources (in both languages) available at www.slavica.com
Just a suggestion, but in spite of having a tutor on hand, having audios for listening, background listening, shadowing etc can be a real bonus. Pronunciation defects can creep in, even if you're seeing your tutor once a week.
Hope this helps.

For Polish, "First-Year Polish" by Oscar Swan should fit the bill. There's also an online version of the textbook with each chapter presented as a .pdf.
The link is: http://polish.slavic.pitt.edu/firstyear/lessons/
Other decent beginning textbooks for Polish where a tutor could come in handy would be "Cześć, jak się masz? - Spotkamy się w Polsce", "Cześć, jak się masz? - Spotkajmy się w Europie" and "Ach, ten język polski!"

I've thought of two more courses:
Penguin Russian Course
and...
Modern Russian by Nina Potapova - a great course that came in two volumes decades ago. Dated but extremely good.
