When I first arrived in South Korea, I studied with a group of expats and Korean
language teachers. It wasn't really a formal school, and we paid a small fee for each
class we attended. It was good for learning some fundamentals like question forms,
vocabulary, hanguel, and pronunciation. However, I eventually outgrew it and only
attended for about 2 months, 3 times a week.
I learned far more out on my own. Although I did have the advantage of living in Seoul
and practicing every minute I stepped outside.

I'm currently studying Japanese entirely from home. I pass by a few Japanese language
schools here in Seoul, but the language of instruction would be in Korean & Japanese.
I'm having much more fun I think learning on my own, at my own pace, and studying what
I want rather than what some teacher and textbook says I should learn.
