Here

Is it any good? I'm thinking about doing it next year for Vienna since I'm already going to
Cologne this summer.
Has anyone here done it? What is your opinion on it?

I'm hoping to get an answer to your question too! I'm looking at courses in Mexico with them. I spoke to somebody at Apple Languages last week and she was very helpful and they seemed reliable.

If someone posts a review of one of their schools, it may or may not be applicable to their other locations.
Remember that Apple Languages is a broker that finds students for their client schools around the world. The
schools are independently owned and operated. You may have noticed that it is not possible to find contact
information for the schools on the site. They don't want you to be able to bypass them and apply directly to the
school. I have seen an online magazine for "language travel brokers" with a poll that asked how many of your client
schools do you visit personally to assure quality - the responses varied from 50% to 100%.

Microsnout is perfectly right, Apple Languages does not "own" any school as far as I know. It is also true that no
contact information for the schools they work with can be found on their website, I find it a bit sad and not
necessarily a best practice in marketing. While it is obviously a barrier to contacting the school directly, it might
also push the user to try to find the school (or another school) by himself and so actually have a negative effect
for Apple Languages (if they lose the potential customer).

I have taken two languages courses with Apple languages, both for portuguese in Portugal, one in Faro in 2006
an one in Lisbon last year. Although I had found the school official website directly on the internet (but with
professional SEO's it is increasingly difficult for a school or institution to be listed at the top of the list of major
search engines...) I still went through Apple Languages. There is a small fee that they will charge, which if I
remember well is independent on how long you stay (the longer the better...). On the other hand there seems to
be some quantity discounts that you might not get if you sign up directly on the school website (but you need to
double check). Also, availability, security and simplicity of payment methods can be an issue, I remember I could
pay directly with CC online through Apple Languages whereas I should have sent a fax with CC info to the School
had I chosen to sign up directly with them.
So it's up to you, but my advice would be to examine all options. As for the quality of the schools, Apple
Languages is probably more of an online marketing business rather than a certification body.... so you'll have to
do your own research to make sure I'm afraid....
