Well actually this post is about Hungarian, partly. It seems Hungarian is a chic language not just for language learning, but also for linguists or amateurs who propose different viewpoints on it's origin. I admit that I have my own hobbyhorses which are not the taste of modern Finno-Ugric linguists but at least is part of old traditional Hungarian linguistics cherished by the flower of 19th century writers and intelectuals.

But I would not go as far as to claim "An old Hungarian dialect found on the
