Can anyone comment on the similarities in language near the border regions of Spain-
Portugal and Brazil-Spanish South America? Since Spanish and Portuguese have many similarities, it's only natural that languages or dialects that seem to be a mix of the two languages would develop along the border of Spain and Portugal. A similar situation would be equally likely along Brazil's border with most of the rest of South America. It would be interesting to see a comparison of these two mixed languages, if they do indeed exist. Note: I posted this topic several months ago in the General discussion section; however I didn't get any responses.
