There is a news program on "Kinderkanal" (= Kika) which is called
"Logo". This program explains the news in simple German with good visual aids. Normally
it is directed to children and teenagers. I have checked Kinderkanal's website, but the
newsprogram "Logo" is not represented in their Mediathek.

Is this the Logo news that you are referring to?

Click on "zu Videos"

Yes, exactly! I didn't discover the right website of Kinderkanal. On this website quoted by tommus you can watch a lot of videos with "Logo" news.

You could also use a program like
Audacity to slow the news down even
more.

Just go to "Effects" -> "Change tempo" (without changing pitch)

Third frame on the top row, at the bottom of the frame.

It looks like plain text "zu Videos & Bilder". It is a link.

Thanks. I had to zoom it 4x to see it. Flash sites always look bad on my screen.
So far, I clicked on the dog one but it never loads. How long does it take?   So, it's just short clips of simple news topics?

Newsflash (pun not intended... or maybe just slightly).

I checked out the News in Slow Spanish site. Great site by the way.

But I also found News in Slow French

and

News in Slow English

and

News in Slow Chinese
(gone the way of the dodo since June)
