Does the textbook for the Complete CD Language Courses at http://www.linguaphonelanguages.com/inc/sdetail/3119 (the one that says " A 190-page textbook that contains the printed and illustrated transcription of the CD recordings.") have the target language and the English translations like Assimil and Living Language Ultimate series? Having just checked my own personal copy of that precise Swedish course you're referring to, the books were all in Swedish only, except for the 228-page Handbook which has English explanations and translations as well.
By the way, I bought my copy a few years ago from an eBay shop (not individual seller) for only $149.99, rather than $399.95, because mine has cassettes instead of CDs. It's easy enough to convert into mp3s using Audacity, but it's probably harder to obtain a cassette player nowadays...good job I never throw anything away! Thanks for your response patuco! Are the English translations in the 228 page handbook like Teach Yourself where they just give the grammar explanations and vocabulary/word list in English or is it like Assimil and Living Language where they translate the entire dialogs into English? I'm looking to buy the refurbished courses if they have the complete dialogs translated into English. Thanks again!

Linguaphone doesn't give the entire dialogue in translation- The method is to provide a

Thanks Elexi, I guess I'll skip Linguaphone for now. I don't mind the method after I'm at a high beginner in a language, but when I'm a complete novice, I prefer the Assimil / Living Language method with full dialog translations.

The Russian Course does give complete translation of Russian text book. You do have the full dialog in translations. It is different book, but it is there.

Thanks hobbit. I think I'll try to get the courses from a library and see if they are to my liking. I'll email Linguaphone in the mean time.
