Hi, for the past couple years I've been slowly putting together a website that uses
parallel texts and an interactive browser program to teach languages, called
tongues.org
So far I've got some texts and audio for German, Spanish, Latin, Ancient Greek, French,
and some demo ones for Swahili and Norwegian. There is audio with every text that
lines up with each sentence.
Anyone can easily enter their own parallel texts and publish them on there, so I'm
hoping we'll get lots of books up there from the public domain in different languages.
The idea is to learn using real literature from other countries.
I'm also open to suggestions for other types of learning modes that use the parallel
texts.
