Hi, I am new to the community so let me introduce myself. I was born in Brazil, and have lived in the United States
and France. I speak those three languages fluently. I also have intermediate comprehension of Italian and Spanish,
and a basic knowledge of Japanese.
I would like your opinion on something: Have you heard of a website called Swapasap? Are they legitimate? Can you
actually learn a language with them?
Merci d'avance,
Tenham um bom dia!

Er, never seen it before, but my first impression is that it looks incredibly bogus. All
the pictures look like stock photos, for a start.

First, welcome to the forum, seja bem-vindo ao forum! I've never heard of "swapasap either and agree with numerodix. There's no way I'd let my child have a profile with a photo on the site. There are many other language exchange websites available to fulfill that function.
Also, since your new, it would be a good idea to fully fill out your profile listing all your languages. In future posts, knowing your other languages can help others in their replies to yo, and give your replies to0 others more weight. Again, welcome!

Thanks for the quick reply, guys! Am loving this forum already =)
@numerodix - I know what you mean. Those pictures are deffinitely purchased!
@iguanamon - Was working on my profile as you replied! Thanks for the heads up ;) I actually signed up to
Swapasap a couple days ago. Here are my first impressions:
1. It's pretty much only known in France and Belgium (80% of the people on it are from one of these two countries).
I, for instance, first heard about it from a friend.
2. It's for students (average 14 thru 18 yo).
So maybe not an ideal match for me. Maybe when I have children ;)
PS. You mentioned there were other websites that serve the same purpose. My idea is really to meet people who
want to learn and organize a free mutual hosting deal. I would LOVE IT if you could tell me some of the websites
that do that?
Obrigado!!
