Hello. I had a one year break with French, and I start study again. In the last holiday, I did Assimil through shadowing, and a little bit modify scriptorium (I translate from Polish to French, correct mistakes, and rewrite it again). After that I feel very good with my French, way better than after 3 years of lessons in high school.
But after that year I forgot a lot, and I'm confused what I should do now. I want to review Assimil, because of last improvement and because it's great way for me to learn, but on the other hand I think it will be a little bit a waste of time go through every lesson like I did it last time, because it took me 4 months.
I start to shadow Le petit prince, but I'm not sure it's a good idea. Maybe it will be better to wait with Le petit prince and make a review of assimil?

I think that if you start to review Assimil, most of what you forgot will come back quickly. So I would just do a fairly quick review of Assimil.
Instead of Le Petit Prince, you might find Le Petit Nicolas more interesting:

I got started with a video series on YouTube call: "Jason's French Fast". You can be doing something else
on the computer and let the audio run in the background.
These are cartoon characters. I use these as backup. When other materials get a bit difficult or
challenging, I have something to refresh myself on the basics.

Thank you for you advices. I start to review Assimil, two lessons per day and that was good decision, because I find out that I make mistakes in very basic expressions, so It will be good for me.
shk00design I will try it.
Jeffers Le Petit Nicolas might be great idea, especially that I liked this book as a child, but unfortunately I want use lingq.com going through it, and I suppose it's against they policy to add content with copyright. I was looking for lessons with it but I couldn't find anything.
Apropos lingq, do you know some interesting podcasts/lessons which will be good for me after I review assimil ?

After you review Assimil, you could start Assimil's more advanced book Using French.
That would keep you busy and in addition to that, it would be great to read and listen to some real French. Doing all that should be enough for now.

Totally great! I didn't know about that, I though there's only French with easy. That will be good for my English as well, so splendid advice pesahson, thank you very much!
Probably last question it this thread: Is there any real differences between version of Using French Assimil from 1997 and 1999 ? It won't be a problem to use book from 97 and audio from 99 ?

Once you review Assimil quickly, here are some things that are worth trying:
1. Get a subscription to Izneo for 10€ per month and go wild with bandes dessinées (French comics). There's tons of awesome books, for almost every taste, and they feature lots of dialog and lots of pictures. Or just subscribe to their email newsletter and get a free BD each week.
2. If you have an epub file of a book you like, check out readlang. It's basically the same idea as Lingq, but it works with ebooks and a browser extension.
3. If you're good with computers, spend a weekend setting up subs2srs and use it to make Anki cards from movie subtitles.
4. Consider trying out Listening/Reading.
5. Look for an easy-to-understand TV series (probably a dubbed one) where you can follow maybe 40% of the dialog, and buy the DVD box set and a multi-region DVD player. Then watch a bunch of seasons. This might be slightly above your current level.
6. Consider signing up for the Super Challenge. The first 500 pages are the hardest, and after 2,500 pages reading typically gets a lot easier.

I can't tell you for sure, but there shouldn't be. They don't change their courses that often. I have the 2010 version and from what I've seen it's identical with the 2006 version.
P.S.Na chomikuj jest wersja z 2006 roku z audio.
