Yeah, that's simplified a bit. I trust a consensus among native speakers, not any random one of them. And of course there are areas like historical linguistics where misconceptions blossom.
But a corpus won't tell me whether this or that wording makes native speakers cringe, even or especially if they use it themselves too. 3 persons have voted this message useful | ||||||
