ik this is an old topic, but on audacity's site I can't download 1.3.2 beta, only 1.3.4, and it doesn't seem to be working the same way. Anybody know where to get 1.3.2? |

I tried using Audacity 1.3.4 but it crashed everytime I tried to do anything after converting it from stereo to mono, I tried restarting the computer, and reinstalling but still with no luck, any ideas?
EDIT: I installed the older version and it works perfectly, I've cut a quarter off the total hour of the total length of my Assimil French Courses (With Ease, and Using)! 6 hours to 4.5! Thank you so much for the advice this is going to save me at least 12 hours of future study =) I wish I'd been able to do this when I was still on my French with Ease, this is going to help me so much with German!!!

Old thread, but worth mentioning a few points.
Audacity 1.3.5 works fine and the chain command allows for a full set of files to be managed.
Only one important comment: Back up your source files - make a copy prior to running this batch files correction to assure that your script will not rewrite over the source files; it should put them in a cleaned directory but this can fail.
Other than that, an excellent way to clean up the silences.
