Would you guys want me to add a Skype field to the user profiles? What other functions would you want, perhaps a 'Languages I want to practice on Skype' list?
Thanks

It would be a wonderful idea.

I was thinking of a list within the 'members' menu (or anywhere else where suitable) where users could be listed according to the languages they 'offer' or would like to practice for better organisation and easier selection (supply and demand :-)

Maybe it could also only be viewed by registered members for making it a bit more difficult to misuse.

I like this idea of integrating the Skype Profile within the Site. I agree with Vlad: a menu system where the languages offered and the languages the person in question would like to learn, would be a very nice addition indeed.

I should be getting a web cam and mic soon.

I'll make a skype account after I get them.

I could help with english, and I'm just under basic fluency in Spanish.

I would like to practice conversation in Spanish. And maybe norwegian, polish, italian, and french, if someone would be willing to help me speak them.

I also think Skype is an excellent way to practice, especially for speaking/listening. Great idea!

I would really like to converse in Spanish with someone who is awake at 8-10pm USA west coast (Pacific) time. Most Spanish speakers live a few time zones east of here, I know. I am an intermediate/basic fluency speaker who can help with English.

I am also interested in practicing German or Portuguese, though I can barely hold a conversation in those languages right now. A little help with those in exchange for plenty of English practice for you would be a good trade, I say.

IM me for my skype i.d.

I totally agree with Vlad, especially concerning the misuse. Additionally I would suggest that only registered members with sent postings (or certain member status) could see the skype things. In the memberlist I often see registrations from people, who are definitely not interested in language learning...
