I am interested. My native language is Spanish, and I am a native level English speaker with a slight accent. I am learning Cantonese, but I'm not yet good enough to speak, but since I have no one to practice with I should like to have someone correct my pronunciation.
anyone interested IM me so we can arrange schedules.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, I've tutored Spanish to English speakers before, and English to Spanish speakers, and have experience in translations and interpreting semi-professionally. I may be able to better help those cases.

I'm interested. I'm a young Chinese guy from Hong Kong (obviously), speak Cantonese (natively), some Mandarin and English. I can help with "Chinese" in general.
Currently, I would like to practice Mandarin, English and German. Of course, I have other pastimes besides language learning, and we may discuss other things (e.g. life, work, studies) in a relaxing manner. :) I'd also welcome speakers/learners of any other languages (since I can't learn one after another very quickly) for cultural exchange.
I'm at the time zone UTC+8. Since I don't get online regularly, and I want to manage time better, I hope interested users would contact me through the forum messenger, skype or email for time arrangement.
You may see my profile for contact details :)

I can do a high standard of English and a low standard of German.
I am interested in German, French, or just learning basics of any language.

Your wish has been granted - the forum now has a Skype feature. Please see the preceding post by Hollow just above to see how it will appear. I will try to add an interface where users can specify which of the languages they study they would want to practice with Skype. You can update your profile and add your Skype name should you want it to appear to registered users on the forum. Thanks and let me know how I can make this feature better!

Thanks a lot, it's great. With such an interface it will be very handy. And it was also a good idea to add the names of countries where we live - I've just noticed.

A 'nice to have' is the display of the current Skype status, whether you are on-line or not. This is done in some other language exchange sites.
Just a suggestion though. Whatever we have now is wonderful!

Indeed, but apparently most users show up as "I'm not telling" or if you have a French-language browser "Je ne parle pas" unless they have specified that they want their Skype online status to be known to everyone. I'll look for a less tacky workaround.
