I thought I might motivate myself by making one of these. My aim is to achieve basic Spanish proficiency before I start the course at university (I will be learning Spanish ab initio, but perhaps with some knowledge of my own the course will be easier and I will be able to impress them a little.)
I have been learning for about a week already, working through the teach yourself Spanish course and a seperate grammar book. Today hasn't been the best for learning Spanish..I've been focusing more on German. I have done one of the Spanish puzzles available here but nothing else. Out of interest, which uni are you going to and what course are you doing? I'm about to go into my second year of uni, doing French & Spanish (I also did Spanish ab-initio) :)

Today I have worked on Teach Yourself Spanish Unit 05, Listening exercises, for about 1 hour.
Tried out Coffee Break Spanish Podcast Course, Lesson 1. Already knew it all but it was fun going over old stuff. :) Spend about 1 hour trying out the exercises on Live Mocha, pretty fun, reminded me of Rosetta Stone in that it showed you just pictures and no English. Still have not successfully chatted online in Spanish to anyone yet (very slow chat connection on that site.) Anyone know any good Spanish chat rooms? Yesterday's progress (08/08/08)
- Completed Teach Yourself Spanish Unit 05 - Completed Grammar book exercise Lesson 3, now know how to say this, that etc., how to say someone IS doing something, and adjectives. Will need to practice though. - Spent 1 hour on Live Mocha doing exercises 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Yesterday's progress (09/08/08)
- Started TYS Unit 06, practice times of the day etc. Listening exercises. - Found out my weaknesses by practicing Spanish on a Spanish chat room, at ICQ. Revised differences between ser and estar. - Spent approx. 1 hour on Live Mocha. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||
