I have been wanting to buy an Assimil course for some time now and I am not sure where to go. I did some searches on Amazon.com and for the Arabic course it is nearly $200.00 and on their (Assimil's) website, it goes for a bit over $100.00. The thing is, is it difficult to buy from Assimil directly? It has to be shipped from France to the U.S. for me.

From my experience, it's not difficult at all to order directly from Assimil, they'll ship anywhere.

Seeing as it is fairly expensive new, you could check on abebooks.

Here's one result:

26tn%3Dassimil%26x%3D0%26y%3D0

The only caveat for that one is that the audio isnt digital. There are others too, but
I'm not sure if they have the audio.

Edit: Try as I might, I just can't get the link to work; please delete the space if you
feel like looking.

Ordering from Assimil seems incredibly expensive. Not the shipping, but the actual product. The standard courses cost 70 euros from the site, where from my local store, I can get them for $80NZ, or 40 euros. I'm sure you can find a store that sells them that cheap around you, but if not, you might as well order from New Zealand stores, since the cost of the internationally shipped product is cheaper than the product without shipping from Assimil.

It's $125 on amazon. Don't search amazon directly or you'll get the high priced version
which I think is an older revision (not exactly sure). This also happened to me for
Assimil Spanish.

To check for yourself. Go to assimil.com and get the ISBN you want. Then search amazon
for the ISBN and you get the correctly priced version.

Wow! That really did help me! Thank you!

I found some really cheap used ones for around $70.

I actually found them to be relatively cheap on Amazon.fr but this was a while ago and might have changed by now.

Ok, when I put in the ISBN number into amazon to look for a course from Assimil.com, do all of the courses I come across have both the book and the CDs? I see in some that they say Audio.
