I was searching ebay and i came across this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1204711 73027&_trkparms=tab%3DWatching
but I was too slow! I was wondering if this course is any good or would be any use to me as I have Assimil Italian with Ease and Pimsleur I-III. I'm asking because there still is a cassette version still on there and was thinking on bidding
any thanks in advance to any who can help me in time

Yes, I have the old Linguaphone Italian. I also have Assimil Italian Without Toil. I find they supplement each other. Is it the old cassette version or the newer one? I know nothing about the new courses. The old Linguaphone is recorded entirely in the target language, which I like.

Whoever bought that course for £9.99 got a real bargain. I've got that exact same course and I cannot recommend it enough. One of its best features is that, as fanatic mentioned, it's recorded entirely in the target language.

I didn't find the videos that useful, not only because they actually were videos, but also because they seemed rather simple compared to the rest of the course. If you can get the full course for such a low price, go for it, even if it doesn't include the videos.

The traditional Linguaphone courses are very good - I have the 9 CD version of their old Italian course and use it repeatedly. Keep looking on eBay, because they appear with surprising frequency.
The new Linguaphone courses that are appearing are, in my opinion, a definite dumbing down.

I agree. Unfortunately, there's too much of this occurring in education nowadays.
