Hi everyone!

Just letting you know we are organizing an online study group of Hungarian, where I teach the applicants from about beginner-elementary level.

Beginners are welcome as well as people at a somehow higher level to study together with us and find out more about Hungarian language, culture and history at the same time.

I myself give the lessons, and some homework in order to control the improvement of my students.

You need to speak at least conversational English.

Isn't it better than struggling alone?

Hope to see you, apply as soon as you can!

If you have an absolute beginner's course that is not too ambitious, I would be interested. Please provide more information about format, cost, etc.

I'd love to hear some more too Kisani!!

I wouldn't class myself as a beginner anymore, but I'm always very keen to make friends with Hungarians and fellow Hungarian studiers!

Hello all!

So... detailed, it looks like this:

I have this far 4 students, ambitious, and not-so ambitious ones as well, like one guy is learning because he is living here, another because he wants to move here, one guy just interested, and preparing for a hungarian journey...

We've just begun with first lesson which I prepared in advance along with the listening, and I gave some homework as I always plan to do, which I would always control to see the improvement of my students:)
We didn't begin with the absolute basics like the alphabet, or greetings, since they seemt to know all that, so I just jumped to the basics of conjugation for now and nationalities.
However, if there'd be any total beginner here, I'd still welcome him/her, and if needed, I can give him/her some private lessons until he/she catches up with the others. Free of course.

We agreed, that about every 5th lesson would be cultural, or historical lesson rather than a language lesson, so that I can show them somewhat of Hungary as well:)
Later on I plan to have common conversations with them via skype for example where everyone can ask his/her questions, and we could talk over the material.

Even later than that, we could practise speaking Hungarian that way together.

There is no fee at all, it's absolutely free:) I enjoy teaching even though it is my first try I'm ambitious, and would like if my students became perfect in my language one day!

Well I would be interested in joining! I'm not really a beginner - well, at least not at the very beginning of being a beginner. You can check out both mine and Katie's written Hungarian on lang-8.com (that is what we achieve when we have time and can concentrate), we both write journal entries in Hungarian there (my name there is tricours and Katie's is Katie I believe :))

What is the platform of the teaching?

Hello!

Katie, tricoteuse;
you seem to know quite a lot already! If you like the idea of study group and my teaching, why don't we create an elementary-intermediate group for you?
I think the others don't know much yet, so it would be weird and maybe boring for you starting everything over.
However, the cultural stuff might be interesting for you, and I could maybe find some good readings listenings etc for you here and there, controlling your studies a little more.
What do you think?
