I was on Wikipedia looking up recipes for cookies (yum :) ), and I saw in the left hand
corner two Беларуская listings. One was just Беларуская, and one was Беларуская
(тарашкевіца). What's the deal with this? I know little about Belarusian so if someone
could just fill me in on any necessary background then that would be awesome :). Thanks!

It is likely to be in Taraškievica, the old writing system. Wikipedia writes about it here.
