Greetings all,

I thought it might be a good idea for us to list some decent cartoons and telenovelas in the Spanish language for any learners out there who are struggling to hone in and develop their comprehension of the spoken language and those who wish to develop them further.

I will list any good suggestions that are made here by other posters and update the list as it goes on, with the list being divided by whether the programs are in the Peninsular or Latino varieties, inshaa-Allaah / ojalá. I will give a brief description wherever possible.

To proceed:

Español Latino

Betty la fea
AKA 'Yo soy Betty, la fea' from Columbia.

Naruto
Minus the introduction scene the language is very clear and not too fast. Animation.

Transformers Animated
Spoken faster than above and less clearer at times. Animation.

Los Simpson
The Simpsons. Animation.

El trece
An on-demand player with complete episodes of its most popular shows, including entertainment, news, and Argentine telenovelas/dramas such as "Mujeres Asesinas" and "Alquien Que Me Quiera".

Café con aroma de mujer
Una telenovela de Colombia.

Español (de España)

TVE a la CARTA
An on-demand player from the Spanish national station TVE, children's TV shows such as "Pat El Cartero" (Postman Pat) and Spain's own novelas, some internationally distributed productions, such as the Mexican drama "En nombre del amor".

Cuéntame Como Pasó
TVE show set during Franco's dictatorship.

BRB International
Hosts some episodes of various in-house BRB Cartoons, such as Spanish (original) versions of 'Dogtanian & The Muskerhounds', 'David the Gnome', etc

The Simpsons used to be in Spanish if you turned it on SAP. I'm pretty sure they still do this, although I haven't checked in years.

(edit - this post assumes you live in USA. I don't know if other countries use SAP)

For peninsular Spanish:

http://www.rtve.es/alacarta/     &n bsp;

This is an on-demand player from the Spanish national station TVE, inclusive of children's TV shows such as "Pat El Cartero" (Postman Pat) and Spain's own novelas, as well as some internationally distributed productions, such as the Mexican drama "En nombre del amor"

This is a channel from Argentina

http://www.eltrecetv.com.ar/

One of my favourites, this one has, as an on-demand player, complete episodes of its most popular shows, including entertainment, news, and the very excellent and addictive Argentine telenovelas and dramas such as "Mujeres Asesinas" and "Alquien Que Me Quiera"

Hope this helps.
