Hi there-
I am new to this site and I am trying to learn a new language. Unfortunatly there does not seem to be alot of rescources available I was told that BAhdini is similar to Kurmanji if not the same thing but sometimes I see a difference. If anyone speaks this language or has a good reference for it please let me know I am desperate to learn. Thank you 1 person has voted this message useful | |

I sent you a PM with some suggestions re materials last May, when you posted the same question. Did you get it? As noted in that message, materials for Bahdini are very limited. The US Defense Department has prepared a "Kurmanji Familiarization Course" which in fact deals with Bahdini; if you like, I could send it to you as a PDF file if you provide an e-mail address at which you can receive attachments. (I don't have any audio for it, though.) The ERIC document cited above, by the way, doesn't deal with Bahdini, but rather with the Al-Sulaymaniyah dialect of Sorani.
