Today marks two weeks since I started learning Italian. I'm already using Word to document my language study, but I thought I would use this forum as well.
I'm using Assimil as my main study source and Pimsleur to work on my speaking skills. I also bought a grammar book called Barron's Complete Italian Grammar Review that I hope to start soon. Anyone used this book? Any Italian speakers who want to give me some tips or words of encouragement, they are more than welcome. :) I will update my progress later today. May 26th:
Pimsleur Italian l – Lesson 7 (twice) Shadowed Assimil Lessons 8 – 13 Assimil Italian with Ease: Lesson 14 (Revision) Reviewed sentences in Anki I got a lot of studying done today since I had the day off from work. I'm getting a little annoyed at Pimsleur Italian with their use of the subject pronoun at the beginning of almost every sentence. I know why they do it, but it just makes the dialog sound unnatural. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Wednesday, May 28th:
Pimsleur Italian I – Lesson 9 Assimil Italian: Lesson 16 Thursday, May 29th: Pimsleur Italian I – Lesson 10 Assimil Italian: Lesson 17 Much to my happiness, Pimsleur drop the use of the subject pronoun with lesson 10. I'm also finding it easier to answer in Italian when told to. I don't have to pause the audio to give myself more time to think of an answer. Friday, May 30th:
Assimil Italian: Lesson 18 Input Italian with Ease: Lesson 17 and 18 into Anki Reviewed sentences in Anki I came home tired today but I still took the time to input Assimil sentences into Anki.
