Pimsleur Lesson 12 30 min. Sparknotes Flashcards 15 min. grammar/vocab with other sources Study Time Today: 1:15 Cumulative Time: 1:15 Notes: First day "back" trying to be consistent. I decided to start up Pimsleur somewhere in the middle of where I was to brush up. It went just fine, I'll stay there and do a lesson a day. Flash cards were fun, did a bunch I hadn't done before. My method will be to do a quick review of my "complete" flashcard pile, and then spend 1/2 an hour doing new ones to add to the "complete" pile every day. We'll see how that goes. Pimsleur Lesson 13 30 min. Sparknotes Flashcards 30 min. grammar/vocab study Study Time Today: 1:30 Cumulative Time: 2:45 Notes: Really shuffled up my flashcards good so that I'll be learning random, instead of patches of the alphabet at the same time. They are coming quicker. I'm diving into the Spanish for Dummies a little more, and I'll be making some separate flashcards from that book so I'm accumulating the grammar found there. In addition, I found about 3 workbooks that I'm going to buy at Barnes & Noble tomorrow for me to work on for fun. Once I buy them, I'll list them. Sparknotes Flashcards Study Time Today: 1:00 Cumulative Time: 3:45 Notes: Didn't have any time to really do anything beyond Pimsleur and flashcards, but I did get to the bookstore and buy 4 grammar and verb conjugation workbooks. Pimsleur Lesson 15 60 min. Sparknotes Flashcards Study Time Today: 1:30 Cumlative Time: 5:15 Notes: Just spent some extra time on flashcards. Trying to make sure I'm getting down the ones I have in my "done" pile. I also had a conversation with Yvonne, who felt that vocabulary pursuit is probably the most important thing right now. She thinks I should spend most of my time on flashcards until I have a few thousand words down. Maybe she's right. Regardless, I'll focus a bunch on flashcards for now, and still dive into my cool workbooks every day from this point forward. Goal for Monday is 2 hours. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Pimsleur Lesson 16 75 min. Sparknotes Flashcards Study Time Today: 1:45 Cumulative Time 7:00 Notes: Was just having too much fun doing flashcards. I think I've got close to 200 mastered now, and that's not counting the other words in the stack that I already know but haven't seen yet. Pimsleur Lesson 17 30 min. Sparknotes Flashcards 30 min. Verb Conjugation Exercises 90 min. Conversational Spanish practice (Meetup meeting) Study Time Today: 3:00 Cumulative Time: 10:00 Notes: Meetup meeting was fun! Definitely worthwhile. Looks like we'll be having one of those every month, and might increase it to every other week. Good group of people of various levels. Flashcards was good. Also felt good to do some verb conjugation exercises from one of the workbooks I bought. I will do more of that tomorrow for sure. No Studying Cumulative Time 10:00 Notes: I've been SICK. I mean, really sick. Haven't had the mental capacity to even focus on language studies or anything beyond trying to eat and sleep.
