I'm inches away from getting my visa after a hiccup with the nice people at the consulate, and though I haven't packed yet mentally I feel pretty ready for this. Language learning is going to be at the heart of my stay there, but I'm also going to be taking university classes full time, so I think there will be no shortage of interesting and engaging activities to partake in.

My only little worry is how much I will/should be integrated with other foreign students, and how easy it will be to make Korean friends. This is pretty important, not only for the more practical language conversation reasons, but because I really want to enjoy my time there. I suppose it doesn't help that I'm a guy and going to an all-girls-except-exchange-students school, but I understand that it's a very university-heavy neighborhood and that many other college kids live there. So, fingers crossed on that.

I hope you enjoy your stay in Korea and good luck with your studies.

I'm assuming you'll be studying at Ewha Women's Univ.

There's another university right across and another two blocks away.

I'm sure there's either official or unofficial language exchange program at Ewha.
If not, you can always participate in Yonsei's( the one across Ewha ) various events and programs for foreign
students.
