I understand how difficult it can be to count such category of language, but are those dialects, or minor languages, very different from their main forms in a way they have to be studied deeper to be able to understand them?
And thanks vilas, for all the info about those books that might help me and other people :).

I've been aggressively learning French here in Belgium for over two years, and am pretty happy with where I am. Was assessed as a B2 the other day, which is about what I would say I am.
