I've also used German hiphop to learn, it has really improved my listening. The first German rap album i bought was Azad's Leben. I went from understanding close to nothing to being able to follow everything he says. Even in fast paced tracks like Gegen den Strom ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIpW8-1entM )
