Does anyone know of audio resources for learning some BASIC Nahuatl? I am not intending to join the natives by any means, but when in central Mexico, this language could be useful for simple courtesies when dealing with the native people, who are often vendors of food and goods.
I think a 20 word vocabulary in Nahuatl would be adequate, but I need audio for pronunciation. Here's a Wiki entry on the language for those who don't know who speaks this or why: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nahuatl I've also heard that there are a number of borrowed words in Spanish (particularly Mexican Spanish) that come from Nahuatl. I saw a moovie completely in Nahuatl, but I don´t remember the title. I had hear that
