I want a book recommendation to better my French. There are two things I ask from it: 1) It should be a printed book, a book I can read when sitting on a bus. 2) It should have a CD, a record I can listen to when I am at home.
When I read a daily French paper, I think I get most of it, reading literature is much more difficult. I have next to no practise in reading or writing. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Any audiobook would do. Gutenberg has seven (human-read) which are free to download. You should be able to track down a copy of for instance "Le tour du monde en quatre-vingts jours" ("Around the world in 80 days") at any online bookstore or even your local library (if you don't want to print the pages yourself).

may hit the mark of 1000 audio books in a couple of days. Not all recordings have professional studio quality, but I still have to find one that I would call bad, and I've listened to quite a few already. I especially like the recordings of Rousseau by Clotilde B. -- very sexy voice! The printed books can be bought easily.
