Ok, here goes...

I have always liked the sound of Serbian so now I am going to give it a shot and try to learn some of the basics of this lovely language within a fixed time frame.


I realize that this is a very short period of time for the study of ANY language, much less such a fascinating and intricate one as Serbian, but I want to stress that I have very modest ambitions at the moment.

Ok....quick update...I'm off to a pretty slow start....lots of unfamiliar territory here, obviously.
The Magner book looks pretty good so far.

finding the new words really hard to memorize. I really like the language though!

Hey, have you considered using a smart vocab program like mnemosyne or jmemorize? I use supermemo on the pocketpc and it works wonders.

Hmmmm....I guess I must be living in the stone age over here, because I didn't even know that stuff existed. I'm certainly gonna check it out now, though.
