I've been studying Spanish for the last year off and on. I've rediscovered that I get bored fairly quickly after a rush of enthusiasm, and study daily for three or four months and then start finding excuses to not study first one day, then another.
I've decided that writing my study times down in this journal might be just the boost I need to keep studying Spanish on a daily basis, and I've started studying French to increase my enthusiasm for learning languages once again. I took 2 years of French in High School, barely passing the class, and decided I wasn't good at French. But looking back, it occurred to me that I did well on the language part of the exams, but really bad on the culture and geography part. And that those parts weren't important to speaking French.
