January 23--
Plan for the next month-- French: Continue with Michel Thomas Beginning French, then to Advanced French, spending 15-30 minutes per day as the mood strikes me. Spanish: Continue with the Pimsleur Spanish 1, hopefully finishing it before the end of Feb. Continue with Rocket Spanish 1. Continue with Destinos as time allows, when finished start over again. Continue with Coffeebreak Spanish as time allows. If finished with Pimsleur 1, start Michel Thomas Beginning Spanish. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Congrats for continually coming back to your language studies! What do you mean by 'finishing' a language program, e.g. Michel Thomas Beginning French? Do you mean listening all the way through and completing activities as you go, or do you expect to be very familiar with all the material presented?

Thanks for reading my log, such as it is. I don't add to it as much as I should, I end up reading other threads in the forums and forget to add to mine. Oh well...as to your question-- My goal is to be very familiar with all of the material in each lesson (which is listen--respond, with no reading or writing) until I am confident I have learned it, before I go on to the next lesson. Since I am using several language programs, it keeps my interest, but it slows down my progress, as I don't spend my whole day studying. While I set goals for myself, learning another language or two is for my own amusement, so there is no need to rush the process or to study to the point where it seems like a chore and I no longer enjoy the learning.
