Hello!
I'm pretty new to language learning so I doubt I'll win the challenge but I hope to learn a bit in the week and really get started on learning Spanish!
I hope to try to converse with you guys in Spanish after/ during this week.
I will post updates.. though I'm not quite sure what to post updates about.
Wish me Luck!

Day 1- Definitely a Success for me.
- Learned all the question words.
- Learned a lot of verb conjugations.
- Saw how sentence worked.
- Got a good feel for spoken vs written language.

Good luck on Spanish, it's usually a pretty straightforward language to learn.
And you'll realise that you already know quite a lot, many of the formal words in English have a similar equivalent in Spanish.

Thanks!
Day 2
-I feel like I'm understanding the grammar a lot more.
-I know most verb endings of all the basic forms (present, past, imperfect, future)
-I know the verbs that conjugate differently "ser" and "ir" in all forms mentioned.
-Overall I feel I'm doing great, It feels like I just have a natural feel for this language.

Day 3
-Don't exactly know what to update.
I feel like I'm doing really well though.
-I'm able to read blogs and things and get a general Idea or what is going on, but not the full thing.
-again I feel I'm doing really well so far, even if I'm doing bad compared to what you would think, this is my first foreign language and I'm just really excited at how well I'm doing right now =]

well I'm feeling really good right now so so far here is an example of my writing skills.
lo más temprano que puedo recordar es cuando tenía 5 años, y vivía en Rancho Cucamonga, California. Tenía un hermano y estaba esperando otro. Mi hermano menor y yo siempre jugábamos con nuestros vecinos. Jugábamos a hockey, a fútbol, y a muchos más juegos. Amábamos jugar y lo hacíamos siempre, todos los días.
of course all very easy vocabulary to get a grip on. and semi-easy sentence structure.
so as they say in spain,
adiós!

That's amazing. I couldn't say/write that much after a month. 3 days! You sure you haven't learnt Spanish in a previous life? What method do you use? I haven't even come to terms with Polish pronunciation yet. Let alone spelling. Accents and all, I'm truly amazed. And jealous, too.

Wow! thank you soo much. I personally thought everyone was progressing this much or more.
as for my methods,
First- Did the whole Spanish and in 10 minutes a day book
second- Learned all the conjugations and how and when to use them through a grammar book I have.
third- 10,000 sentences method, I've been inputting and reviewing about 200+ sentences a day on my SRS.
