Well you may not be trying, however you are being hostile.

By the way dude, your "lazy brain" was wrong about SVO, its Subject Verb Object so I hope to God that's not the same way it works when you try to learn a new lang. |

He came pretty close considering he deciphered two of the words properly and this is apparently the first time he's seen it. I can understand why you're sceptical of him, but you're also really dismissive and discouraging. If he listens to a sentence for the first time in another "lang" and gets 2/3 of it out of context, then I'd say that's not too bad a start.

That is truly an absurd claim to make. As the poster doesn't even seem to know the correct name of the language programs they are dismissing I would doubt that they know anything about them, much less their correct application. Research is required to make a claim of that kind (even if one were to neglect the obvious point that any study of a language is a program). I don't even want to ask about Scania.
I would be more inclined to begin to consider the proposal that moving to native material early on is more effective (a completely different claim from the childish title of this thread) if someone who had undertaken exclusively this approach could be evaluated in an agreed upon fashion, preferably according to the CEFR. Without some form of evaluation the claim "I am fluent" isn't worth much.

I was never bragging I stated clearly that "Jag vet inte" about methods..I stated a fact that what I did worked for me..I am already doing this in Svenska and it is working ..I have only been doing my new language for almost 3 weeks and it is working...This morning i did the same and have learned more!..It worked and I did learn Spanish in 4-5 months and I explained very easily that anyone can do it!..
jag oksa have not said one negative word back to Ashley and I wont..Varfur? because I am learning my new language and it is working!.. after 2 weeks I read my 1st paragraph with this method today in a Powerful bok on Terrorism all in Swedish!
This is why it works which I have already explained..
1.Jag pratar from dag one..I even went to the movies after working and ordered tickets in Svenska today.. The lazy genius Brain is now cementing these words because i am using them!!!
2. I read slowly and love the words..I do not use any translations..Why? the lazy genius brain does not like to learn a new language but it likes to solve puzzles!..This is why it is hard not to guess when watching "wheel of Fortune" or so hard to put down a Rubicks cube
As you read the Brain tries to solve the readings..Slowly play with the sentences and it starts to open up
3. Finally The Breaking down and the disecting of the movies ..gives you the only language program and phrase book you will ever need..On my 3rd watching Last night of "Kyss by Winter" I started here little sentences that stuck!..Hur mor du?..Vad kan jeg gora fur dig..(But FSI is free and nice to use..and the old lady speaking swedish is my new mormor)
You are surrounding your brain with day one speaking!...reading..and movies disecting..
speaking my Svenska part English to everyone and I never forgetting the words again once used in real life!..Once you start using the words they STICK!
The Lazy Genius brain says..
"I'll keeps those words handing you keep using ..why..because it is to lazy to look up words you used once last year once"..It does not want to go looking into the file cabinet..when the brain knows i am saying God morgon everyday it keep it there next to my alarm clock..
Why is this so hard to believe..!!
I Told you ..circle your brain with these 3 thing and then you just start understanding
Yes I learned Spanish to take home latinas and it worked!..
(Another tip is guys dancing salsa leave with more women also..I am being funny but it is also true)
I was in Florida this morning and there were 8 Spanish newspapers compared to 3 English..I think anyone can learn this language in 4-5 months..easily!(in the USA)

example: I saw this from my new bok last week and understood nothing.. today I understood it on my way to work!
Hur kunde jag vara sa dum? Vad ar det jag haller pa med? Var ar det har for ett stalle egentligen? Tanken pa Jemen frammaner romantiska bilder av landet
It is a powerful feeling when you understand someting that you did not 3 days earlier
What happened to allow me to understand this a few days after not knowing it before?
Many of these words were caught in the circle i described above
1.My movie disecting..
2.readings of previous paragraphs in the bok..and other readings..and the brain starts to work it out for you ..
3. I have been using some of these words from day 1
and it was right in front of my brain because it was too lazy to look in the file cabinet so it keep many of these words handy for me..
Translation: Using the word like "casa" from day one with people cements it as a real word to the brain!
This is how I learned Spanish in 4-5 months..
**THROW IN A FREE FSI COURSE..portable dvd player and stero headphones for stronger movie focus....add new language subtitles on the new language movie. Your brain will be trapped in the new language!..wake the next day ..start using the new language from the moment you get up..rinse repeat...daily..

To those learning Japanese..Toyko Decandent is a powerful movie that would be great..Mycket bra.. to disect ..it has great relevent real liv dialogue och does not har a boring scene in the whole movie....That and "The Audtion" would be great movies to get..
The Japanese are incredible filmmakers so many great movies to choose from!

This is exactly how I read and learn. This guy is complementing Ashley for insulting me..Lets turn this into a positive..I do not know French..Hey..how did I know it was French?...i bet everyone on the forum knows it is French..interesting? The Brain know more than it is letting on..
I would play with these words as i read it..not trying to translate just getting familiar with the words..As Kato Lomb said the important words comeback...again..again...again..I am guessing he said partly
"You are a female who is very Spunky"
I cannot understand all of it ..and have never read french in my life..but this is what jumps out
This how how i read my Svenska bok..I may even spend 10 minutes on one page..this is why Kato lomb said the reading has to be interesting! or you will not want to continue..you will get bored..The french quote has used the word "vous" 2 times already that would be a word I know i am going to learn fast..
This is the same thing that happens with discecting movie scenes..I watched a scene last night where a father had breakfast with his daughter..All the words you could want in Swedish!..Good morning..how did you sleep..how are you feeling..what time is school..
I watched that scene 5 times on rewind..(take off and put on subtitles just for clarity) Many of those words will also be in my morning newspaper or novel..and you are going to speak these words today! at your coffee shop..right in the door..I will do it in french instead of Svenska
Exaple Merci..Vous etes a nice femme (This is just an example I know no french!!..Jag vet inte francis
Call up you Mormor on FSI course for grammar
and you are well on your way
**Footnote this is how i learned Spanish in 4-5 months** Do not be upset you will NOT understand the reading and movies in the beginning..you are getting comfortable with the words. You may understand only 5 word in a 90 minute movie!..then it will expand..
I use to watch Spanish and think what the **** are they talking about! then in time as you break the movie down..it opens for you!
Let people say you do not understand what you are reading or watching... you will have the last laugh if you continue..I did not know the title of my new swedish book and that is the first question people ask you as you walk with your new book..what does the title say "My answer was I have no idea..Nu jag forstor the title de min bok ..it took me 7 days to figure out the title..***
That is how i learned Spanish..Have a great day.. Hejdor!
