I have discovered that a small portable dvd player(very cheap in the USA) draws me deeper in when disecting my movies..also i pickup words that I may miss on a regular living room dvd player..the headphones and small dvd screen inches away from me really helps me focus on the movie. Also new language subtitles and new language speech in same film is very stimulating but hard to find movies like this..

But you can use lingq "intermediate podcast in any language" to listen to dialogue and read along as a subtitute..not as good as a movie though

To be perfectly honest I am more bored by your disrespectful tone, repeated posting of the same content in multiple threads and your misrepresentation of questionable research than Ashley's replies which cite credible sources and proven fact and have a less abrasive style. Ashley has pointed out obvious logical and scientific flaws in your statements but now it seems you are trying to make this a personal issue. No one is trying to limit you, watch all the Spanish porn you want. But please don't try to tell people that their way is wrong as the amount of multilingual people in the world presents another obvious problem to your claims.

As for your question, I think it is perfectly obvious to everyone that she is not accusing you of that as you well know.

healing332, if you are going to post everywhere all the time, would it be too much to ask to beg you to actually structure your posts, use standard writing rules, etc.? I think it's part of the “If you can't spell it, don't write it.” idea. Don't just put everything in caps and think people will agree quicker if you do so. What is your native language by the way?

Plus, people who throw foreign words into conversations are only annoying and disrespectful.

Reineke, jfyi, he's quite aware of that and addresses that somewhere. I can't be bothered to find the link now, but he essentially said he believes Krashen introduced i+1 only not to crush the motivation of the learner when experiencing target language material, who otherwise might understand hardly a word. If you're motivated enough as is, so Khatz, 'i' doesn't really matter.


Go read some of his newer stuff (something that wasn't written two years ago.)
