Although my profile says I am studying Russian and Polish, I am currently in Turkey so that is in abeyance for the moment. Instead, I am developing my Turkish. It could be called a form of immersion.
My Turkish is adequate for most purposes. I can read the language and usually but not invariably understand what is said to me. I have some trouble following Turkish conversations between other people.

Today I translated a couple of pages of a Turkish-language book into English. I downloaded 11 vocabulary items into Wannano. I would have done more but the programme seemed to lose stuff I entered yesterday. Nobody in my immediate surroundings speaks English, so it's all Turkish which is fine.

Much as yesterday, with a little more use of Wannano.

More translation, more vocabulary downloading. A certain amount of TV viewing in Turkish.

Some more book translation. Then I went to a cultural centre and was asked to watch a French film for which there were no Turkish subtitles. I did, and then gave a rundown on the film's plot in Turkish. I think they were wanting to review the film for a cultural magazine. Definitely a multilingual day.

I took a break from book translation and the vocabulary downloading system isn't working, which is a shame as the basic principle is good. However the language is all around me anyway.

Same old immersion. I understand some people better than others. Language learning is full of little victories and little defeats.
