A successful phone call in Turkish. This is always trickier than face to face conversations as you can't go on body language and the phone may distort sounds.

My spoken fluency is improving. Others have noticed this, and I had a prolonged conversation with a Jehovah's Witness using only Turkish. I was quite proud of myself linguistically but it looks like the gates of heaven are closed (sigh)

Stepping up work on Turkish vocabulary. I am going to try and find blank cards so I can write words, phrases and short sentences in them (long a favourite and flexible method of mine).

A side step to another language - I met a couple of Italians in İstanbul and had a short and rather basic conversation with them in Italian.

More translation, more vocabulary. I am paying more attention to word endings, as flaws in my use of them have been pointed out to me.

Same old single but I had a look for a frequency dictionary (discussed in more detail on another thread).

I chatted in broken Italian with a native Turkish speaker who knows il bel parlare. It just indicated how much more fluent my Turkish is by comparison. Also more book translation from Turkish - I finished a chapter.
