I just got BSC Grammar, Textbook and Colliquial Croatian in the post today so I am going to start tonight.

I'll post my progress in this thread!

You should better learn Serbian.
I got mixed up in Croatian because of the big amount of "J's" :D

that's a somewhat segregating comment.

Milk:      in Croatian its mlijeko;    Serbians say mleko
White:    Croatian: bijelo;          ; ;        Serbian: belo

it's not much of problem, it follows some basic rules.
although many more people have problems with č and ć. even croatians.

After all, they are all the same languages.

And I count them all together as Yugoslavian.
