Just now, I finished reading the Chapter 8 of the Korean Harry Potter, Sorcerer's Stone. This puts me at 200 pages read. There is only 1 chapter left in Part 1 of the Sorcerer's Stone and the epilogue. I should finish this book by the middle of October.

After that, I think I'll work on the Hanjas some more before attempting to do the 2nd part of the Sorcerer's Stone.

A few minutes ago, I finished reading the last few pages of the Korean version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, part 1. In total, it was a total of about 230 pages. The second part, chapters 9 through 16 are in a second book.

This month, I'm planning to spend some more time studying the Korean hanjas and review the Korean picture story books. I am quite proud of getting through the first book. Nonetheless, I was quite a bit in over my head. Thankfully, I was able to get through it with the online dictionary. From reading the book and writing the new words in a notebook, it seems that over half of the words in Korean texts are Sino-Korean words with Chinese roots. The Korean picture story books that I have on the other hand, use mostly pure Korean words and some Sino-Korean words.

In November, I think I'll start on the second part of the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. After learning a few more hundred Hanjas this month, the second part of the Sorcerer's Stone will hopefully be easier to read.
