Thanks for the input, everyone. I was heavily learning toward Korean, but the difficulty was what made my decision wobbly. But yes, I'm mostly pursing language learning for leisurely purposes.

Please don't base your decision on a subjective evaluation of a language's supposed difficulty. Choose the one which appeals to your imagination the most. Liking a language and its culture makes learning it easy.

Can we avoid turning this thread into yet another argument between person A and Cainntear as to the value of Michel Thomas? If you want to drag that poor, dead horse out of the grave and continue beating on its few remains, do it in another thread. Start a "Michel Thomas Argument #513510" thread, if you wish.

Mmm.. yeah go for Korean if you are attracted to it. Plus, it may not be AS hard as you think it is. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and either me or another Korean native speaker or a Korean learner on this forum will get to you.
