Hello and Happy New Year!!!

I joined this website because here is hard to find people interested in learning languages and there isn"t a websites like this one.

Straight to the point: In my country the hotel business is in diapers, we have potential but there is not a government politic about develop this area so we still don"t know as much as other countries where tourism industry is very good ,so....

What language would you say is better for someone who will work in this area???

Some people says french, others Italians but I"d like to know the opinion of some people who may work in this area or have traveled to other countries.
By the way Sapnish is my native language.

Thank you for your cooperation.

The reason one would learn a foreign language is to better accommodate clients. If you think that it is important to
learn a new one, think about what clients you could better accommodate to become competitive and profitable. For
example, if you get no Italian tourists, it would be a poor use of your time to learn Italian unless it is for personal
reasons. It all comes back to your business plan and demand.

You should perhaps check from what countries come the bulk of tourist to your area. Look at the flights offered at
the local airport. And so fourth.

Exactly, I didn"t write that but I have the posibiliy to improve my very basic portuguese, I went once to Brazil and I realize that braziians and argentinians are the mayority of tourist from South-América during the summer (January and February here).

But I was asking for other languages for people from other places that come during the rest of the year, sorry if I didn"t especificate.
