i studied Spanish in school for 3 years and all i could say at the end of it all was "hola", "me llamo luke" and "aqui!". 28 days ago i started pimsleur basic level 1, i've got 3 more to go then i'm onto unit 2. i'll probably post on here to keep track of how quickly i learn, to post milestones etc. not sure what to do after pimsleur but i'm on the lookout.
